Ashley Hoke is a Detroit native and a lover of music. She has been singing gospel music all of her life, and began singing classically at Renaissance High School. She has gone on to receive her Bachelor degree from Morgan State University in Baltimore, Maryland, where she studied music, with a focus in voice. She has sung professionally with the Brazeal Dennard Chorale, the United Voices of Detroit, the Opera Company of Philadelphia, and has traveled internationally with the world renowned Morgan State University choir. She currently serves as the minister of music and choir director at her church, Apostolic Church of Jesus, and is currently working on her teacher certification in music at Wayne State University.
